SHORT BIO

I believe that therapy is more than symptom reduction. It’s about helping people reclaim a sense of agency in the face of life’s challenges. Whether you’re navigating anxiety, trauma, grief, chronic stress or a major life transition, my role is to provide a space where you can make sense of your experiences, challenge unhelpful patterns, and move toward the life you want to live.

I hold a Bachelor of Human and Social Sciences and a Master of Science in Applied Cognitive Psychology. My clinical approach is grounded in evidence-based practice and integrates Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and mindfulness-based interventions. Rather than applying a single model to every client, I tailor therapy to each individual’s needs, drawing from different approaches to create treatment that is both practical and personalized.

Together, we work to better understand patterns of thinking and behaviour, strengthen psychological flexibility, improve emotional regulation, develop effective coping strategies and build resilience that extends beyond the therapy room.

Above all, I strive to create a therapeutic relationship that is warm, collaborative and grounded in trust,  where clients feel safe to explore difficult experiences while developing the skills and confidence to move towards a meaningful and lasting change.

Areas of Expertise

Anxiety and Specific Phobias

Dealing with Anxiety Disorders is a significant part of my work. I help clients understand and change their relationship with anxiety, whether they are struggling with persistent worry, panic, phobias or fears of social events. Using evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), we work collaboratively to identify unhelpful patterns, build tolerance for discomfort and develop the skills needed to move toward a meaningful life without anxiety dictating your choices.

Depression

Depression can have a significant impact on many aspects of a person’s life, including mood, motivation, relationships, sense of self, and engagement in daily activities. I work with clients to understand the patterns that maintain depression, including unhelpful thinking styles, withdrawal, and disconnection from meaningful activities. Using evidence-based approaches such as CBT and ACT, we work collaboratively to build skills, reconnect with personal values, and take meaningful steps toward a more engaged and purposeful life.

Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder

PTSD (Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder) can be a crippling aftermath of experiencing or witnessing traumatic events. My approach involves using trauma-focused cognitive-behavioral therapy to help clients processing these experiences. It’s a journey of reclaiming one’s sense of safety and trust in the world.

Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder

Persistent intrusive thoughts (obsessions) and the need to perform repetitive behaviors (compulsions) cause a significant impact on an individual’s life. Through exposure, response prevention and cognitive restructuring, I help clients reducing the intensity and frequency of their symptoms, leading to improved functioning and quality of life.

Pain Management

Pain Management, from a psychological perspective, offers a unique pathway to dealing with chronic pain. Through mindfulness and cognitive-behavioral techniques, I help clients navigate the often debilitating effects of chronic pain, finding ways to live a fuller life despite the discomfort.

Sleep Management

Sleep Management issues, often overlooked, can deeply impact one’s quality of life. I provide tools and strategies, from establishing a sleep hygiene routine to relaxation techniques, aimed at restoring the natural balance of rest and wakefulness. We explore together how to make peace with the night, inviting restful sleep rather than wrestling with restlessness.

Grief

Grief can affect every aspect of a person’s life, including identity, daily functioning, and sense of meaning. I work with clients to create space for the complexity of grief while exploring the experiences that can make the grieving process especially challenging. Using evidence-based approaches, we focus on developing skills to navigate painful emotions, making room for difficult experiences, reconnecting with personal values, and finding ways to move forward while honouring what has been lost.

Self-Esteem Issues

Self-esteem difficulties can influence how people view themselves, interpret their experiences, and engage in relationships, work, and daily life. I work with clients to explore the beliefs and experiences that have shaped their sense of self, while identifying patterns of self-criticism, comparison, and avoidance that may be keeping them stuck. Through evidence-based approaches, we focus on developing a more balanced and compassionate relationship with oneself, building self-worth, and taking steps toward living in alignment with personal values.
