Areas of Expertise

Anxiety

Dealing with Anxiety Disorders is a significant part of my work. I guide clients through the labyrinth of their fears, whether it’s the pervasive unease of generalized anxiety disorder, the sharp panic of a specific phobia, or the social scrutiny apprehension. Using Cognitive Behavioural strategies, we work together to gently untangle the threads of anxiety, providing relief and a path forward.

Depression

Depression can have a profound effect on various aspects of an individual’s life, including mood, interpersonal relationships, work or school performance, self-esteem and self-worth. Through reframing negative thinking patterns, behavioural activation and skills building, I help clients in developing positive behaviors and improving their mood.

Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder

PTSD (Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder) can be a crippling aftermath of experiencing or witnessing traumatic events. My approach involves using trauma-focused cognitive-behavioral therapy to help clients processing these experiences. It’s a journey of reclaiming one’s sense of safety and trust in the world.

Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder

Persistent intrusive thoughts (obsessions) and the need to perform repetitive behaviors (compulsions) cause a significant impact on an individual’s life. Through exposure, response prevention and cognitive restructuring, I help clients reducing the intensity and frequency of their symptoms, leading to improved functioning and quality of life.

Pain Management

Pain Management, from a psychological perspective, offers a unique pathway to dealing with chronic pain. Through mindfulness and cognitive-behavioral techniques, I help clients navigate the often debilitating effects of chronic pain, finding ways to live a fuller life despite the discomfort.

Sleep Management

Sleep Management issues, often overlooked, can deeply impact one’s quality of life. I provide tools and strategies, from establishing a sleep hygiene routine to relaxation techniques, aimed at restoring the natural balance of rest and wakefulness. We explore together how to make peace with the night, inviting restful sleep rather than wrestling with restlessness.

Life Stressors

Excessive worries and life stressors are common in the fast-paced world we live in. I work with clients to develop coping mechanisms that allow for a healthier engagement with life’s inevitable stresses. We look at problem-solving strategies, stress reduction techniques, and ways to foster resilience.

Self-Esteem Issues

Self-Esteem issues are close to my heart. I believe deeply in the potential of every individual to view themselves with kindness and compassion. Through our work together, clients learn to challenge negative self-beliefs, build self-worth, and cultivate a positive self-image.
